A Cheeky Postcard to Miss Marion Woods, Toronto, Circa 1908

[Postmarked] Kleinburg Mar 29, [year illegible]

[to] Miss Marion Woods
859 College St.
Toronto, Ontario

Dear Cousin,
Den still intends going west.  I have not seen him since yesterday noon.  I guess he will know what he is going to do when he comes back.  I hope you will be out to see us soon. I would like to get to see Uncle and Aunt before I start work, but chances are small.

Write soon,
Yours sincerely,
Ed. Green, Jr.

Den came home tonight and he leaves for the west Tuesday.

  1. This seems to be a rather "risque" card for one with such a "serious tone" and message on it.

  2. Yes, indeed. I thought that as well. I wonder why Mr. Green would have selected that particular postcard. Bamforth & Co., especially in their later years, were known for their racy postcards. They made a lot of low-brow cartoon cards in the 1960s.
